Prince Harry visits Sydney after Governor-General 'photobombed' at toll plaza

Mr Elliott Scott, Lieutenant-Governor, was in Goulburn on Friday to greet the royal brothers for the formal opening of the Quarantine Station with attendant festivities.

And, on Saturday night, the Governor General arrived at the Ethel Wilson-owned St Andrew’s Society Ballroom of the Ethel Wilson Hotel in The Domain, with two other members of his staff to do some sightseeing and seen on the dance floor.

However, during the journey he was delayed for over two hours at the motorway toll plaza and saw no traffic.

While at the road toll, a pliant official asked where he was going. “Australia,” he replied as we all looked on.

According to reports, a policeman accompanied him to his car and took a picture with his camera of the Governor General and one of his officers, but then the photographs were later destroyed.
